In the beginning
At 17 Michael Simms didn’t know he was proposing when he asked his highschool sweetheart “how do you want your house built?”. From that time on the soon to be new Simms team was involved with housing in one way or another.
Teamwork is their #1 Priority
Their world got started with one foot in the stirrup, a hand on the mixer, one holding a book and dozen or so tools in another. That wasn’t even their day job! Not satisfied with being ordinary and full of life, wanting to do everything, the Simms team delved into life catching every bit of it they could and learning along the way. As we all know, life happens to everyone now and then and little ones came along sooner than expected. Midnight walks rocking the cradle took the place of late afternoon rides.

High School graduations for their three sons followed, 300 plus soccer and football games, 1,000’s of wrestling meets, 60 or so swim meets, 40 basketball games, 150 baseball games, 33 track meets, music lessons, and gymnastics. That’s not to mention the camping trips, den meetings, troop meetings, fundraisers, etc. Rentals and Rehabs kept the whole family too busy to get into trouble. Grandpa’s Master Carpenter skills handed down to Mike paid off here and, their attention to detail and perseverance paid off as well. Grandma and Grandpa supporting all the way. Three Eagle Scouts later, Two State Wrestling Champions and 1 State Wrestling Qualifier two of their sons were accepted to the Academy at West Point. The third went to Indiana University in Bloomington.

Just us now
It’s back to us now with Mom and Dad in tow. We built the dream house and we are still building it, making it even better. As we grow our dreams grow too much like our customers. We believe that we are life managers. Choosing a new home can be one of the most stressful events in your life but it doesn’t have to be. What we have learned most is maintaining our patience and learning to listen. Communication is key to resolving a lot of issues and is what makes us a strong negotiator.
